Meta-owned Instagram launches GIFs in comments and edit tools features for its users. The platform allows users to respond to posts and Reels using GIFs in the comment section. Users can access the GIPHY library by tapping the GIF icon in the text box, just like Twitter.
The platform recently launched a new reels editor that brings together video clips, audio, stickers and text onto one editing screen. More updates are coming up globally. Instagram recently started testing the function to add songs to the photo carousels shared on the platform.
GIFs in Instagram comments are available in the latest version of the app. Moreover, Mosseri also said that Instagram is also testing lyrics in Reels. With the new feature, users will be able to comment with a GIF on an Instagram post. These GIFS will be sourced from Giphy.
And good thing is that Creators will now be able to see what the top trending topics and hashtags are on Reels.
