Finally OpenAI launches ChatGPT app for iOS. Now official iOS app that allows users to access its popular AI chatbot on the go. Good news is that The new ChatGPT app will be free to use, free from ads, and will allow for voice input.
The company says, The app is currently live in the US and will be rolled out to other countries in the coming weeks. Alongside, there is a promise that an Android app is “coming soon”.
ChatGPT Plus users will get exclusive access to GPT-4’s capabilities, early access to features and faster response times on their iOS devices. The launch could also potentially impact Google, as the search engine today benefits from being the default search engine in Safari on Apple’s iPhone.
When using the mobile version of ChatGPT, the app will sync your history across devices. That means, it will know what you’ve previously searched for via its web interface, and make that accessible to you.
The highlights of the iOS app include the fact that it is free to use and there is no mandatory subscription for mobile apps. The app is only available for iPhone and requires iOS 16.1 or later, according to the App Store listing.
