Owned by Meta, WhatsApp introduced the Chat Filter feature for WhatsApp Business accounts in a previous update. But now WhatsApp is working on this “Chat Filters” feature, which will roll out the standard WhatsApp Account for iOS, Android and Desktop versions in an upcoming update.

However, according to the report of WaBetaInfo, this Chat Filters feature is still in under development mode. However, this feature was rolled out by WhatsApp to the business account some time back. This update was made available for WhatsApp Business Account available for iOS, Android and Desktop.

Now a blog post has been shared by WaBetaInfo. In which information related to this “Chat Filters” feature has been shared. According to them WhatsApp is now working on bringing the same feature to standard WhatsApp accounts in a future update of WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and Desktop.

Images surfaced after this feature of WhatsApp became available to certain beta testers. In which we can see a filter icon in the top right corner. On clicking on this icon, we are shown some options like Unread Chats, Contacts, Non-Contacts and Groups. You can filter them using this feature. Unfortunately this feature is currently in under development mode. But in the upcoming update we will get to use this feature.
