Apple is reportedly developing prototypes for foldable iPhones and iPads. The foldable iPhone, resembling Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series, could encounter hurdles in display design and thickness, while the foldable iPad aims to minimize creases and enhance the hinge.

This isn’t the first time whispers of a foldable iPhone have circulated. Apple has filed numerous patents related to foldable displays, and analysts have predicted its arrival for years.

However, the company has so far stuck to its traditional slab-phone design, leaving competitors like Samsung and Huawei to dominate the foldable space. According to a report from The Information, Apple is working on prototypes for at least two iPhone models that fold clamshell-style widthwise.
