Copy and paste is not working with Firefox…I have switched to Chrome and it is working there.

Yes, I confirm, cannot paste a Youtube link on Firefox…. but works opening Whatsappweb on Microsoft EDGE, who knows why ?

For me it seems related (don’t know why to the location permissions). I had the same issue on firefox, but on both macOS and windows. If given location persmission access, it started working …
Ditto on changing from Firefox to Chrome. That worked for me, too. Apparently this is a Firefox bug.
Solution:
– go to the WhatsApp Helppage https://faq.whatsapp.com/
– accept the Checkbox !!!!!!!!!!
– go back to whats app web https://web.whatsapp.com/
= now its working!

It’s a problem on Whatsapp side. No need do restart the computer or change the browser, just wait until Monday, when a new version will be deployed. Search google for “whatsapp issues 125920”.

This solution creates another problem (and maybe more besides):
Images copied to the clipboard cannot be pasted.
The problem has gone from pasting text to pasting images.
So now we need another solution,
Or hope that the WhatsApp team will take care of the problem that is their fault.
You are right. Now I can’t paste images. 4th step is not a solution. I’m using another browser until WhatsApp team solve the problem.
But This is a Temporary solution for Text Copy Paste.
