News broke from the latest Android 14 QPR2 beta, where eagle-eyed developer Mishaal Rahman of Android Authority1 unearthed a hidden gem: a unfinished feature that brings back lock screen widgets in all their glory. This comes after years of pining from users who bemoaned the feature’s removal in Android 5.0 Lollipop.
However there’s a twist, This isn’t the exact same feature we knew from Jelly Bean. Android 15’s lock screen widgets are currently being tested in a “communal space” on devices with Hub mode, like the Pixel Tablet.
